Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making arstarinc.com accessible to everyone.

Last updated: April 2026

Our Commitment

ARSTAR Inc. is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to people with disabilities. We strive to provide an inclusive digital experience for all visitors — whether you are a distributor, contractor, designer, homeowner, or anyone else exploring our cultured marble products.

We are continually improving the accessibility of our website to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.

Accessibility Features

Our website incorporates the following accessibility features:

Navigation & Structure

  • Semantic HTML elements (<nav>, <main>, <section>, <header>, <footer>) for screen reader navigation.
  • ARIA landmarks and labels on all major sections and interactive components.
  • Breadcrumb navigation with aria-label="Breadcrumb" on all interior pages.
  • Skip-to-content capability through semantic page structure.
  • Consistent navigation across all pages via a shared header and footer.

Visual Design

  • Text color contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG AA requirements (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
  • Respects prefers-reduced-motion — all scroll animations and transitions are disabled when the user has requested reduced motion in their operating system settings.
  • Responsive design that adapts to all screen sizes and zoom levels up to 200%.
  • No content that flashes more than three times per second.

Images & Media

  • Descriptive alt text on all informational images, including product photos, certification logos, and room scenes.
  • Decorative images marked with aria-hidden="true" or empty alt="" to be ignored by screen readers.
  • SVG icons include aria-hidden="true" when used alongside visible text labels.

Interactive Elements

  • All interactive elements (links, buttons, form inputs) are keyboard accessible.
  • FAQ accordions use native <details>/<summary> elements for built-in keyboard and screen reader support.
  • Product filters and color selectors are operable with keyboard navigation.
  • Focus indicators are visible on all interactive elements.
  • Form inputs include associated <label> elements.

360° Virtual Showroom

  • The 360° panoramic viewer supports keyboard navigation (arrow keys to pan).
  • Each viewer includes an aria-label describing the room scene and current color/finish.
  • Color selector buttons are keyboard-focusable and clearly indicate the active selection.
  • A text description of each room and its products is provided below the viewer for users who cannot interact with the 360° content.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, we acknowledge the following limitations:

  • The 360° virtual showroom viewer provides a visual experience that may not be fully accessible to users with certain visual impairments. Text descriptions and product links are provided as alternatives.
  • Some product images (color chips, marble veining patterns) convey visual information that cannot be fully described in alt text. We recommend requesting physical samples for accurate color evaluation.
  • PDF documents (spec sheets, catalogs) linked from this site may not be fully accessible. Contact us for accessible formats.

Assistive Technology Compatibility

This website has been designed to be compatible with:

  • Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Screen magnification software
  • Speech recognition software
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Operating system accessibility features (high contrast, reduced motion, large text)
